It is with great pleasure that we can announce our new CEO as Angela Novell.

Angela is making the transfer from MK Dons Sport and Education Trust, where she has top scores as their Interim Joint Chief Executive, following six years as Director of Education at MK Dons SET.

“I feel extremely honoured and excited to be taking MK Snap forward,” she said.

Liz Gifford, Chair of Trustees at MK Snap said: “We’re delighted with our new signing. Mrs Novell has a strong leadership track record and a proven commitment to meeting the needs of learners.”

Angela worked in the banking and finance sector for 13 years as a consultant before leaving to become a lecturer teaching in the community sector of Further Education.

About MK Snap

MK Snap is a local charity offering professional support, training, education, life skills, work and opportunities for individuals aged 16+ with learning difficulties. The centre in Walnut Tree is open five days a week supporting more than 60 learners a day from Milton Keynes and the surrounding local authorities.

The learners include adults recovering from stroke or head injury, those with visual or mobility impairment, and those with learning disabilities, such as those on the autistic spectrum.

About Angela Novell

In 2007 Angela was appointed by Milton Keynes Council to lead on the strategic development of the MK Dons Playing for Success programme in partnership with the Department for Education (DFE), and played a key role in the Extended Services team; including the opening of the MK Dons Study Centre in 2007 and the commissioning of the ‘Dons on Tour’ education bus in 2010.

Angela was a Finalist for MK Women Leaders awards in 2015 for the category Community Leader – Professional and 2016 Finalist for category Community Leader – Charity.  In 2017 she was recognised and awarded ‘Highly Commended’ for Community Impact – Charity.

Angela is Founder President of Soroptimist International Milton Keynes, which  works to improve the lives of women and girls locally and internationally.  SI Milton Keynes is part of the largest global volunteer movement for women; holding a United Nations mandate for their work to empower women.
