MK Snap seek new Trustees

MK Snap (special needs advancement project) is a dynamic local charity in Milton Keynes providing education, life skills and work training for adults aged 16+ with learning difficulties empowering them to be the best they can be.
The charity believes that the more opportunities that are offered to people the more likely they are to discover skills and talents.
MK Snap has grown to become a highly respected not-for-profit organisation providing person centred learning opportunities for people with a wide range of disabilities, including those on the autistic spectrum and those experiencing mental health issues alongside learning difficulties.
As the charity continues to expand and diversify, the Trustees are seeking to recruit new Board members who can bring compassion for the people MK Snap supports and a readiness to apply skills and knowledge to provide strategic direction as well as to monitor, advise and support MK Snap’s work. The Trustees wish to recruit a wide range of experience and expertise, including:
- A knowledge or background in learning disability
- Business development, income generation and fundraising
- Generalist business knowledge such as finance, HR, Marketing, Health and Social care
- Information technology
Trustees must be able to commit to attend Board meetings which will be held quarterly as well as committee and working group meetings when necessary.
We are keen to recruit trustees from Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.
Trustees will be expected to undertake a full induction and will be required to spend two half days experiencing the charity.
