Snap To It! Peoples Project nominated for 2018 VOTE
Snap to it! and VOTE for Snap
It is with great pleasure that today we can announce that our Snap To It! Sports & Well-being Project has been nominated for The Peoples Projects 2018 and has a chance of winning £50k of national lottery funding.
The charity’s CEO, Angela Novell said: “A vote for this project is a vote for Milton Keynes. Snap to it! is about what people with disabilities can do. It will make a real difference to the lives of people with disabilities. “It’s about creating opportunities to achieve beyond expectations, whilst really enjoying themselves and having fun. We’d love everyone to get behind us.”
The funding will boost sport and well-being activities at MK Snap’s education and learning centre in Walnut Tree for people with learning and physical disabilities providing greater opportunities to access sport both within MK Snap and the local community.
Snap to It! also includes a festival of sport and activities at the Centre:MK showcasing what people with disabilities can do on Disability Awareness Day, 14 July with the aim of encouraging greater involvement for all in sport and well-being activities across the city.
MK Snap won Royal approval from HRH, the Duke of Kent who said he was “thoroughly impressed” by how much goes on and is achieved at MK Snap during his visit last month.
Minister for Sport, Tracey Crouch gave MK Snap’s health and well-being activities top marks when she visited last year.
Voting starts at 9 am on April 16th until 12 noon April 30th
