Essential

  • Experience of delivering projects relating to sport and low level physical activity; including health & wellbeing
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • An ability to demonstrate good administrative skills
  • Ability to coordinate workload and manage timescales
  • Proven planning and organisational skills
  • Strong levels of personal integrity and a commitment to safeguarding
  • Experience of working with external partners
  • A relevant Sport or Leisure Qualification at Level 2/3
  • A teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent) or committed to achieving introductory qualification in teaching and learning with adults and willing to continue working towards a full qualification
  • Willing to work unsociable hours if required

Full time Tutor37.5 hours Salary: £18,431.73pa

Overall Objective:
To lead in the planning, provision, development and delivery of activity sessions and work training skills sessions for learners across the curriculum.

Main Objectives:
To be an integral member of a small flexible team ensuring that the goals, aspirations and all other needs of the learners are met at all times.

Essential

  • Experience in a community or educational setting.
  • Experience of mentoring, supporting and encouraging adults with learning disabilities.
  • Strong levels of personal integrity and commitment to safeguarding.

Chair of Board of Trustees MK SNAP (Milton Keynes Special Needs advancement Project)

MK SNAP is looking for a new Chair of Trustees to join our well-respected and friendly charity. Based in Milton Keynes, our award-winning team is driven by a commitment to our core values; Safety, Inclusion, Progressive, Professional, Respectful, and Fun. A warm welcome awaits the right person to guide and support the established and talented Board and the CEO. The Chair will ensure that the MK SNAP mission and vision is met, in addition to providing inclusive leadership to the Board of Trustees, ensuring that each trustee fulfils their duties and responsibilities for the effective governance of the charity. As an ambassador for the work of the charity the Chair will bring a wealth of connections and will represent MK SNAP at events and build positive relationships with stakeholders across the community. This is a volunteer role and not accompanied by any financial remuneration; however reasonable travel expenses may be claimed.
