Important SNAP Update July 2020
I am pleased to be able to share the news that from Monday 27th July we resumed services from the centre at MK SNAP following the suspension of services due to the impact of COVID19. We know that this has been a challenging time for all services and for our staff, over 140 learners and their families who we have continued to support throughout the crisis in a variety of ways.
We will be offering a safe, phased return to the centre to all SNAP learners and will be operating on reduced numbers and session times initially to ensure safety and social distancing. As you would expect the safety of all learners and staff remains paramount and you will see that we have put into place a wide range of measures to make the centre COVID secure. We know that learners and families will be excited and maybe nervous about the changes that being in lockdown have had on your lives so to help to reassure you we are inviting anyone that wishes to visit the centre (by appointment only please) .
For those learners who are not able to return immediately, we will continue to offer remote support and also have a ‘Virtual Teaching Team’ that are delivering engaging and interactive workshops across the week. All SNAP Learners can access these sessions; please get in touch if you would like some support with this or need assistance with technology. The sessions are morning and afternoon each weekday and can be accessed via a PC, SMART phone or tablet.
Our thanks go to everyone that has helped to sustain the charity during the crisis; the tireless dedication of the management team, the patience and understanding of the staff, the continued generosity and commitment of supporters & community partners, the board of trustees and lastly, but most importantly, to our Learners and their families. Thank you for helping us all stay safe during this time by staying at home.
